The Original General Store
The Original General Store is known for good ol′ soul satisfying Vermont country food. The eclectic store is a purveyor of Vermont products, sells unique antiques and has a wide selection of wine. Known for its hearty breakfast, tasty lunch specials and sandwiches, the "GS" is the prime breakfast and lunch destination. Up for a challenge? - check out the "Green Mountain Feast", the popular breakfast dish includes 6 pancakes, 6 eggs, 6 pieces of bacon if you finish within 30 minutes the tab is on the store, if not at least you can say you took part of the Green Mountain Feast challenge.
Vermont Crafts & Antiques
Look no farther than the Original General Store if you want to find some unique antiques or beautiful crafts handmade by Vermonters. Our antiques foom is full of vintage and antique furniture, books, china, tools, stemware, and memorabilia. Avon perfume bottles? Depression glass? Patriotic salt and pepper shakers? We have all that amd much more. We have filled every nook and cranny in our store with crafts from Vermonters far and wide. We have pottery, dolls, candlesticks, children's toys and more. Don't forget to pick up some Vermont specialty foods as well: maple syrup products, cheeses, jellies and jams, chocolates, and snacks!
Bakery
Craving a cookie? Bursting for a brownie? At the Original General Store, we bake all our bakery items from scratch daily, making them the best around. Every day we serve a new variety of cookies, brownies, muffins, breads, scones, pies, and whatever else you dream up. Buy one for a snack or a dozen to take home.
Breakfasts & Lunches
Before a long day of skiing, or while you're traveling through on Route 100, stop by the Original General Store for a delicious breakfast or lunch. If you want something quick and easy, we have egg and cheese sandwiches, wraps, and coffees and teas to go. If you want to stay awhile, try some pancakes and bacon, burgers and fries, freshly made smoothies and goodies from our bakery. Fill up before a cold day or on your way home from the swimming hole.
Take out Dinners
Staying in one of the area's ski lodges or houses is a great way to enjoy Vermont, but eating delicious healthy meals can be hard especially if you're not looking to go out to dinner. We understand, which is why we offer hearty, family-sized meals ready to take home. Pop it in the oven or have us heat it for you and you've got a homemade meal with no fuss. Enjoy time with your family in the comfort of your home away from home with lasagna, macaroni and cheese, roast chicken, or any other of our great tasting dinners.

If you haven't tried a sandwich or salad from the Original General Store's delie, you don't know what you are missing! We stock some of the best meats in the area and everything we sell is made from scratch. Try our pound salads in vegetable, potato, and pasta varieties, one of our great meat or vegetarian sandwiches, or pick up meats and cheeses to take home.
What do do when not skiing
Need a break from skiing? There's always something to do in Vermont! Take a ride up Route 100 and visit any one of the many small towns for which Vermont is famous. Or spend the day shopping in Woodstock or at the Manchester outlets.
